4 weeks and growing

Scott had a doctor's appointment today. He weighed in at 8 lbs 12 oz, which puts him in the 48th percentile for weight for his age. He's also 23 inches tall, which is the 100th percentile. He must be getting his height from Brian's side of the family. (Side note: He was 21 inches tall at the doctor's office on his 4th day, and their method of measurement seems more error-free than the method used at the hospital, so we think that he was a little 'under measured' at birth and he didn't actually grow 4 inches in a few weeks.) The doctor gave him a good report and this time he didn't get any shots. For his 2 month appointment he has get to a whole list of vaccinations, but thankfully they combine them so it is only 2 shots instead of 5 or 6.

Father's Day

Both sets of Scott's grandparents were over for Father's Day. What a treat!

Trip to the zoo

We took Scott on a trip to Brevard Zoo on his 14th day. He slept through it, but it was a nice outing for grandparents and parents. :)

Gaining weight and doing well

Scott is doing well. After an initial small weight loss he is up to 6 lbs 9 oz, just past his birth weight. Life is good!

Introductions

Luckily Scott has a sense of humor. He waits until the cats are inches away and then flinches. Fun for the whole family.

Homecoming

It is good to be home.
