Buddies

Scott and Riggs are buddies. Here is a picture of them playing with Riggs' favorite toy with a bunch of ribbons on it. Riggs knows that the upside of the friendship includes loving pats, playtime, cat treats from a messy little hand, someone to scoop the cat food into the bowl in the morning and frequent calls of "Hey Wiggs!" He also knows that the downside of the friendship is that he might get landed on if Scott loses his balance during the loving pats and that he sometimes gets chased with the cat toys. It seems that the friendship cost to benefit ratio is in Riggs' favor. Lowry doesn't yet agree, but she isn't as fond of the cat treats as Riggs is...

Play Doh

The other night after dinner we had big fun with Play Doh. Scott loved all the accessories that you can use to cut out shapes and make extrusions, but most of all he loved just squishing it in his bare hands and making all the appropriate sound effects, as taught by Dad, of course.

Chilly Day at the Zoo

We went to the zoo a few days ago and had a great time, though it was a little bit chilly out. The animals were all pretty frisky, so we decided that cool days are great days to go visit the zoo. Here is a picture of Scott taking a good look at one of the giraffes. He enjoyed looking at them and watching Brian feed them, but he did not want that big tongue coming after him!This grey bird loved Brian and wouldn't stay away. He kept going after the ties on the sweatshirt. Scott was tickled with the birds that ate out of the cups. They are a favorite among the zoo exhibits for us. You can see the scrape on Scott's forehead in this picture from a run in with the driveway. I'm sure it won't be the last... I think Brian had a history of donating skin to the driveway when he was little. Fortunately, it has healed quickly and is nearly gone now.
