Wedding pictures and 4 month update

This past weekend was a big one for us. We took Scott on his first commercial plane ride and went to Snowshoe, WV for Brian's sister's wedding. We flew there on Friday, the wedding was Saturday, and we flew home on Sunday. Whew! Scott was pretty good on the trip, though I think we exhausted the poor little guy. Pictures include Scott meeting his Aunt Jill, a family picture where Scott looks a little bored (big yawn), Scott making the rounds at the reception with his Uncle Greg, and 4 generations of "Andrew". Before we went to the wedding Scott had his 4 month check up. He was 14 lbs 14 oz (60th percentile for weight) and 26" (90th percentile) for height. He isn't getting the height from his mom...

Thumb sucking and chatting

Scott really loves his thumb. He even tries to sneak it in the side of his mouth while he is drinking his bottle. This usually results in dribbled milk... The picture shows his favorite method of thumb sucking - slurping the left thumb while cramming it firmly into his mouth with the right hand.

He also loves to "talk" to us. He makes all kinds of funny "arrroooouuu" sounds and facial expressions. He takes turns, too. He makes noise, then you are supposed to talk to him, then he makes noise again, etc. He cracks us up. In the picture he is telling Brian all about his day.

Toys have recently gotten his attention. He has realized that he can grasp things and bring them to his mouth. He gets so excited about his turtle toy. I think the cats are jealous and want the turtle for themselves...

quilt and thumb

Two unrelated topics...

I finally finished a quilt I have been working on for a few years and it is now hanging in the living room over the couch. (I was able to make headway on it during TS Fay.)

Also, Scott has found his thumb. He has been working on getting it in his mouth for several days now, and he is now a master at it. He will still take the pacifier if I remove the thumb and make the substitution, but when the pacifier falls out, in goes the thumb. This morning when I went to pick him up out of his crib, he was sucking away...

Game Day outfit

Go Tigers!
Scott is doing well. Some nights he wakes up in the middle of the night and some nights he doesn't... We love the nights that he sleeps all the way through. The last time I weighed him (which was at least a week ago), he was 14 lbs and a few ounces. He is definitely getting chunkier. He has a deep dimple at each elbow.
