Sesame Place

On Father's Day we went to Sesame Place with Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle Greg. This was the first time Scott had ever seen a show, or real live characters. He was enthralled!

Family gathering

We took a trip to Delaware this past weekend for a family gathering in honor of Grandpa's (Great Grandpa to Scott) 90th birthday. Here is a picture of the whole clan at the event. While we were there Brian introduced Edge to ginger snaps. He really seemed to enjoy them. Scott had big fun playing with all the boys. He got a fencing lesson from Nathaniel.
And Ralph taught him the difference between ladies, gentlemen, and farmers when it comes to horse riding. Scott wanted to go straight to farmer (rough ride) every time...
Rick showed him all about clovers, though I am not sure they ever found one with four leaves.

Bottomless Pit

The results from Scott's latest pediatrician appointment explain why he is a bottomless pit:

At 2 years:
your child is 26.4 pounds, and that is at the 28th percentile for weight.
your child is 37 inches, and that is at the 97th percentile for height.

Tonight for dinner he ate a full (toddler size) plate of meatloaf, carrots, and corn – every single morsel. He asked for more, so I thought we could polish off the box of fresh strawberries we opened this morning. 3 huge strawberries later he asked for dessert. I figured he had been very good, had eaten well, and had asked very nicely, so I gave him a small scoop of ice cream with chocolate syrup. He ate all of it and asked for more, so I said he could not have more dessert, but that he could have fruit treats. He devoured one fruit treat snack pack and asked for more, so I let him have a second one, which he quickly finished. He asked for more, so I offered him a banana and graham crackers. He accepted both, and polished off half of a banana and a handful of graham crackers. Finally, he wanted to go outside…

visiting with cousins

Scott & I went to visit Matt, Jennifer, & the gang last weekend. We had a nice visit with them and Grams. By the way, Grams is very excited that she can fit all 6 grandchildren in her 7-seater Tahoe. Only 2 of them need car seats / boosters, which she has for such occasions. Here are some pictures of the gang. The first one is of Rose on her new birthday bike.

This next one is of Sarah demonstrating her amazing balance on a moving bike.
Mary taking a spin on her bike.
Austin was so nice. He helped Scott get his helmet on and get his feet on the pedals in the right spot so he could ride just like the big kids. This next picture is an extremely rare sight - Andrew and Scott together and actually being STILL!
