Plant City Strawberry Festival

Here are some pictures from our trip to the Strawberry Festival: Scott having a grand old time (and not taking a nap) in his stroller, Scott tasting strawberry shortcake with whipped cream (he was a big fan),
Scott not impressed by the large cows,
and this is one of Scott trying to dive into my parent's magazine rack at their house after the Strawberry Festival. He managed to knock it completely over...

Furry Friend

Riggs is Scott's little furry friend. Today Scott decided to poke his little hand into Rigg's hidey-hole. I figured that would be a little too close for Rigss and that he would come shooting out of his den, but he didn't. Riggs thought it seemed like a fun idea, so he batted at Scott's hand and they played for a few minutes - each one tapping the other's paw. Scott was giggling over this new fun. They both had a ball until Scott tried to put his hand on the top of the thing and pull up. It's a soft sided cat bed/hide-away, so it came crashing in around Riggs and he went shooting across the room. All was quickly forgiven. After Scott moved on to the wood blocks, Riggs came back to hang out in the hidey-hole again, with a close eye on his two legged pal.

Tooth!

Scott's first tooth has broken through the gum and is just peeking at us. He has been a little fussy these last few days, so we are all happy for him that the tooth is finally through. His first one is the bottom left front tooth. It looks like the bottom right front tooth won't be too far behind.

Trip to the zoo

We went to the zoo on Saturday. Our favorite two exhibits were the giraffes and the aviary. Scott was equally impressed with grabbing onto the fencing as he was with watching the animals.

Scott meets Scott

Our good friend Scott came for a visit and got to meet little Scott. These are pictures from a trip to the beach before dinner.

Little Scott now has a cool serape to wear (just like his big friend), and he seems to enjoy playing with Surefire flashlights.

Stepping is the favorite pastime right now. Gotta be upright and moving. It won't be too long until he is fully capable on his own...

Dreaming in Kung Fu...

Scott must have been dreaming like a ninja when he took his nap on Sunday.

More pics from Birmingham Trip

These two are probably my favorite pictures from our trip to Birmingham last weekend. Following family tradition, Scott got a chance to suck on a rib bone on Saturday night when everyone was over for Duck's birthday. He LOVED it. He would not let it go, and mouthed it for a good 20 minutes or so. Fortunately for us, he has not declared an end to baby food... though he does seem to be paying closer attention to the food we are eating at dinner time... I love the expression on his face in this picture - you can tell he is really working those gums on that rib.

This is a picture of Brian and Scott going up the hill in the backyard to visit Linda. Smiling boys!

Great Trip to Birmingham

We had a great trip to Birmingham for Duck's birthday this past weekend. Right before we left we were successful in getting all 6 of Daddee and Duck's great grandchildren to be in the same place at the same time, mostly smiling and still... The other pictures show fun times in the back yard. Scott REALLY wanted to be on the trampoline with the big kids, so Brian held him up there. He loved it, and was grinning from ear to ear.
