Superman / Buzz outfit
I thought everyone would get a kick out of the outfit that Scott wore today. He got lots of comments at Walmart. What you can't see in the picture is that he has a Superman cape attached to the back of his shirt and under those boots are a pair of reindeer Christmas socks. He just got the Buzz Lightyear rain boots, so he wanted to wear them, of course!

End of the Tuba Prophecy
I was so surprised over the fact that we are expecting a little girl, that I forgot to mention in my last post that her arrival will mark the end of a legend. The "Tuba Prophecy" predicting the gender of children for Brian and 3 of his fellow tuba-playing college buddies had an amazing streak of success, correctly predicting 8 of 8 children. Two of the friends were predicted to have girls, and they each have 2 girls. Two of the friends were predicted to have boys. One has 3 boys and we have a boy, but soon we will also have a girl. She will be the only one not predicted. Of course we asked the ultrasound technician several times if she was sure... and now... after getting over the shock, we are very excited about our little girl on the way. Brian has mentioned that pink will be acceptable in our house, as long as it is pink camo. :)

It's a girl on the way!
We found out this morning that the little one due in October is a girl! The ultrasound technology is really amazing, and everything checked out healthy with no worries. The first picture below is a side view of our little girl lying on her back, head to the right and facing up. The second picture is a 3-D image where you can see her little face, right fist, left elbow, and two knees. Right now she is about 6 inches long and weighs about 11 ounces, so she still has plenty of growing to do before October.
