These are some pictures from Christmas 2011. Scott was pretty funny - he actually wanted to put away the special Santa key before opening his stocking.

I love the crossed legs in this picture - just
chillin' and opening Santa presents - no rush.

Scott played with his bucket of soldiers for nearly an hour. The "army mans" (plural for army man, by the way) were set in all sorts of formations and they got in and out of the helicopter a lot. Brian offered some suggestions about the mortars and minesweepers, but these were rejected with scowls. Evidently the true function of the minesweeper guy is to clean up with a broom. "Him is sweeping trash, Dad."

Meg did not have a care in the world. Scott opened her presents for her and she took a nap.

Riggs got to bite wrapping paper and snuggle on top of a crinkly trash bag. His version of a perfect Christmas. In the background you can see the empty cookie plate and empty glass that held chocolate milk for Santa. Scott wanted to make sure he had chocolate milk - only the best.

We had a warmish afternoon, so the boys got to use their new skates and Meg and I had a nice time walking around watching them. Scott loves his wrist guards, and he practiced controlled falling on several
occasions to try them out.
