And Cousin Andrew requested to see Scott's pirate stuff that he got for his birthday, so here is a picture of Scott on his birthday with all of his pirate gear. He can add the handkerchief that he got from the Disney boat captain and put together a great Halloween costume!
On the first day of our trip we rode the boat around the lake, just to have something to do after dinner. We struck up a conversation with the captain, and he gave Scott this cool pirate handkerchief and a pirate wristband. Scott practiced his "Aaarrgh!" and "Yo Ho!" all evening.
We rode the Buzz Lightyear ride several times. On one ride, it stopped just for a minute, and I was able to snap this picture of Brian, Scott, and Grandpa. Scott got pretty good at this ride, and would yell, "I got you, Zurg!" at the villain and "I got him for you, Buzz!" to the hero at the end of the ride - every single time.
Scott refers to this ride as "the Space Shuttles". I think Disney has another name for it, but what do they know about space craft? Scott can actually name all of the pieces of the space shuttle... orbiter, external tank, booster rockets.
He really enjoyed riding the carousel, too. Typically he would tell us how good his horse was, and give it a pat before getting off.
The pool at the Fort Wilderness area was great. They have a big slide for bigger kids, and this fun small slide for smaller ones. What you can't see very well in the picture is that there are lots of water sprays and splashing things in this smaller kid area, which are manipulated with valves that the kids can turn. Scott splashed Grandpa! We all got to try out the slide with Scott, too. This is a picture of Scott and Grandpa on the slide, and Scott has his water guns in each hand.
One of Scott's favorite things in the Magic Kingdom was Tom Sawyer's Island where he got to shoot "real" guns in the fort, and "get the bad people on the train". (The Thunder Mountain Railroad ride is visible from the fort, and acts as the target.) He had a blast up there, and told every person that strolled by that he was shooting guns and getting the bad people. 
We went to the Hoop Dee Do dinner show and enjoyed it a lot. Before serving dessert, they bring out washboards that you can play with a spoon. Scott went to town!
Another highlight of the trip for Scott was meeting Buzz Lightyear in person. We had just come out of the Buzz ride, so as soon as Scott saw him in person, he began telling Buzz animatedly that he had just defeated Zurg. In the picture below, Scott is pointing to the screen in the prop to try to convey to Buzz exactly where Zurg had been defeated. He was so insistent in getting his point across that is was difficult to get him to pose for a picture.
Staying at Fort Wilderness also gave us the opportunity to do some fun things like take a pony ride. This is Scott riding Snickers. He enjoyed it, and told Snickers what a good horse he was.
We really enjoyed our trip, and we will have to start planning our next Disney trek when the sibling that is due to arrive in October is old enough to go, too.
Scott did a little wading in the cold water above the waterfall. It was pretty slippery.
