Happy Birthday to Brian

Happy Birthday to Brian! Meg helped bake and decorate the cake. Scott also assisted with the icing, and EVERYBODY ate some! Brian is laughing because the kids blew out the candles before he could even get a breath. Guess they wanted the birthday wish for themselves.

We had a great camping weekend. Perfect weather, fabulous Dutch oven cooking, and miles of great hiking with waterfall views.

Side note - you really have to smile at Meg's outfit choice for day 1, which included her green Jesus statue t-shirt, 4th of July skirt, purple color block knee high socks, and light up princess shoes. She was rockin' those clothes. Why wear one color when you can wear most of them?

Myrtle Beach - Scout Beach Sweep Weekend

We had a fun camping weekend with the cub scouts and boy scouts at Myrtle Beach for the annual Beach Sweep. There is a service project of picking up trash along the beach on Saturday morning, then an afternoon of fun at the campground water park and a feast that evening. (I think it was 10 picnic tables of people!) We are very proud of Scott for pitching in so well on the clean up - he was a pot scrubbing machine!
