Fun at the Zoo

We took a trip to the zoo yesterday. The weather was beautiful, and we enjoyed walking around. (At least one of us was hoping that the walking would convince the baby it was time to come out, but no luck so far...) The highlight of the trip was feeding the giraffes. Scott liked being close to the giraffes, but he wasn't confident about putting his hand out there for them to get the food, so he preferred to put the food in my hand and push my hand to the giraffe. He did put the food on the deck toeboard where the baby giraffe could reach it, and declared victory - that he had indeed fed the giraffe. The first few pictures are of the giraffe encounter, then a picture of Scott on Brian's shoulders looking at the grizzly bear. The bears were very active - I think we were there right before their afternoon snack, because they went running to the back when they heard the zookeeper rattle her keys. We had such a big day that we needed to have a relaxing evening, so we watched a movie. The last picture is 2 and 1/2 of us watching together on the couch.
