We had a fun afternoon at Carowinds today. Meg got to ride her first amusement ride. She wasn't too sure about it, as you can see from her expressions, but she was laughing again as soon as the ride was over. Actually, she was hungry again immediately and opted for a bottle while the thrill-seekers figured out exactly how high you could go on the Woodstock Gliders (a ride where you can control your level of thrill with a wind sail). As it turns out, you can get well above the street lamps. I was sitting with Meg as she entertained the nice people next to us on the bench, who were also watching the Woodstock Gliders. Then one of them said, "Whoa! Look at THAT one!" Yup, they were talking about my boys. :) Scott is big enough to ride the kid coasters, and he is only an inch shy of the next level up. He is asking to ride the next ones, so I am sure he and Brian will be maximizing the contribution of shoes, socks, hats, and standing v-e-r-y tall the next time we go.
