After exploring most of Hanging Rock State Park, we decided to go to another nearby park for our last adventure of the weekend. First we had some morning climbing practice on the big rocks near the cabin, then we headed out to Pilot Mountain.

Here is a picture from the overlook at Pilot Mountain. This one did not require a long climb, just a short walk.

Scott's favorite activity at Pilot
Mtn was actually the sand mound at the start of the trail. He spent several minutes climbing it, announcing his intention to throw a rock, tossing a single rock, sliding back down, getting a new rock, and climbing right back up again.
